Introducing The Hearts...


CAROL B. LYON (vocals, comedy, drums) Her training includes coaching in New York with Marty Lawrence of the Metropolitan Opera Company and Joe Sherman, arranger for Nat King Cole.  For 30 years, Carol traveled the United States and on cruise lines with the Two of Hearts.  She is also a partner in Kaiser Lyon Tunes, a publishing company registered with BMI, for which she has written numerous original songs and comedy skits as well as self-producing a number of compact disc recordings for Kaiser Lyon Studios.  Carol performed in 2009 at the Bristol Fourth of July Celebration and in a series of original revues at the Granite Theatre in Westerly, RI entitled Our Hearts On Broadway, Lullabye of Broadway I, Lullabye of Broadway II, and Lullabye of Broadway III.       In addition Carol collaborated with the Community College of RI Music Department on Hello BROADWAY!  2009—2019.  In 2010, she performed 21 shows with Audrey and Maria Tavarozzi at the Newport Grand Slots in Newport, RI as part of the cabaret show Downtown—From Nostalgia to Broadway.

AUDREY KAISER(musical director, pianist) has toured the United States for over 30 years performing, arranging, and recording with the Two of Hearts, 15 years of which was full-time touring. Active in the theatre world as director, musical director, pianist, and arranger, her show credits include various roles at the Rhode Island College Cabaret Theatre for a run of seven summer seasons. Since 2004, Dr. Kaiser conceived, directed, and performed four original musical revues for the Granite Theatre in Westerly, RI entitled Our Hearts On Broadway, plus three different Lullabye of Broadway reviews. During the fall of 2010, Audrey performed 21 shows at the Newport Grand Slots in Newport, RI with Maria Tavarozzi and Carol Lyon as part of the cabaret show Downtown—From Nostalgia to Broadway.   

     Kaiser has also performed extensively as both a solo and collaborative concert pianist, including numerous concerts with David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra as well as performing with Tony Award winner Alice Ripley. Dr. Kaiser is included in the recent editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who of American Women. In 2020 Audrey was honored with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award.  Currently Dr. Kaiser is Professor of Music at the Community College of Rhode Island where she serves as Music Program Coordinator, and creator of the Summer Cabaret event called Hello BROADWAY! which ran from 2009 to 2019.

Every June from 2009 to 2019, Carol & Audrey mentored a group of very talented college students at the Community College of Rhode Island in an event called Hello Broadway!  Audrey was the director/ musical director and Carol, the vocal coach/ producer. This was a fully staged, choreographed, costumed two-hour musical revue showcasing approximately 20 college students PLUS, some years, 10 young people from the Vocal Expressions studio, directed by Lisa Medici-Buckley.  See the Hello Broadway! ​page for more information!
